Step 01 / 03

Where are you starting from?

A few details help us point you in the right direction.

About 2 minutes · No commitment

The details matter

Before you
take the leap.

A few answers to help you plan.

Who can start CPL training?

IFA’s entry guidance is 17 years to join, with a minimum age of 18 for CPL issue. You should have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics or an accepted equivalent, meet DGCA medical requirements and have adequate English proficiency. If your subjects or equivalence need review, speak with admissions before making a payment.

How long does the CPL programme take?

The CPL programme is planned around a 12-month training target. Your actual timeline depends on individual readiness and progress, weather, aircraft serviceability, airport operating hours and applicable licensing requirements. Admissions will discuss a realistic joining plan with you.

What does the ₹59.5 lakh fee cover?

The October 2026 CPL fee is ₹59,50,000 including applicable taxes, for 185 hours on the Diamond DA40 and 15 hours on the Diamond DA42. It includes landing charges, fuel surcharge, cross-country, night and instrument flying, as well as the other programme inclusions listed in the downloadable fee schedule.

What should I budget for separately?

DGCA ground school is charged separately and simulator training is outside the CPL package. Hostel accommodation is optional at ₹20,000 per month, with an AC room and three meals. Plan separately for personal expenses and medical appointments. Request the current written schedule before enrolment.

How do the payment milestones work?

The CPL payment schedule is ₹20 lakh on admission, ₹20 lakh after 25 flying hours and ₹19.5 lakh after 100 flying hours. These three instalments total ₹59.5 lakh. The integrated CPL + A320 pathway has its own written payment terms, which admissions will provide.

What is the IFA × Avion pathway?

The integrated pathway combines CPL training at IFA with Airbus A320 type rating through Avion, with a proposed package price of ₹84.5 lakh and a target duration of 16 months. Detailed inclusions, locations, availability and payment terms are confirmed in the written programme offer. The target duration is a planning estimate.

Do I need to finish my medical and theory preparation first?

Begin the medical process early and share your current medical and theory progress with admissions. Class 2 medical fitness is part of the entry pathway; a Class 1 medical is required for CPL issue. Your counsellor can help you sequence preparation and flying around your situation.

Can my parents visit the academy with me?

Yes. Request a Khajuraho base visit through the enquiry form and tell us who will join you. Admissions will coordinate an available date and airport access requirements. A submitted visit request is not a confirmed appointment.

Does CPL or A320 type rating guarantee an airline job?

Training and type rating are qualifications, not a job guarantee. Airline recruitment depends on vacancies, selection processes and the requirements of individual employers. Discuss your intended career path with admissions so you understand the steps involved.
